Unconscious bias affects everyone and is generally triggered instinctively. \nExplore and recognize how bias affects you and those around you – and gain the ability to create and implement new techniques and tools to overcome bias. \n  \nAgenda:\n10:30 – 12:00 noon:  Workshop by Beth Taylor \n12:00 noon – 12:45 pm:  Lunch Break \n12:45 pm – 2:15 pm:  Workshop by Beth Taylor \n2:15 – 2:30:  Break \n2:30 – 3:30:  Panel Discussion with specialists on Mental Health\, Domestic Violence\, Transgender \n  \nFrom this workshop you will be able to:\n\nIdentify and unlock conscious and unconscious bias related to gender\, sexuality\, body\, age\, ethnicity\, ability\, etc.\nIdentify the different types of bias and describe the correlation between bias\, brain and instinct.\nRecognize how thoughts\, emotions and behaviours can influence bias.\nIncorporate strategies to overcome biases.\n\nEmpathy is the gateway to improved communication\, client/employee engagement\, greater sales effectiveness\, secondary or add-on revenue\, and overall greater satisfaction with work and professional growth. \nThe word empathy has only been around since the late 1930’s\, and it’s meaning continues to evolve and grow. When leaders incorporate empathy to influence\, impact and motivate\, they inadvertently increase the company’s ROI! \nLeading with empathy encompasses acknowledgement\, curiosity and active listening skills\, which leads to client/employee retention and engagement\, while creating a culture of inclusion and diversity. Each client/company is directed to focus on high-value activities aligning directly with their specific goals to succeed in a rapidly evolving world. \n  \nAbout Beth Taylor\, MA\, BCC\, NCC\nExecutive Leadership Coach\, ‘The Empathy Expert’\, and Keynote Speaker\, Beth coaches executives\, teams and professionals how to lead with and create a culture of empathy. \nBeth brings a unique blend of traditional business acumen combined with true entrepreneurial style to her coaching\, creating a customized program for each unique client. \nBeth has extensive business start-up and program development experience and incorporates the very\nlatest tools and techniques for every client. Attendance will be monitored.\nComplete and submit the Training Evaluation by May 2nd; this will be emailed to each participant.\n\n  \nAbout CEUs\nAs an authorized CEU Provider\, AICI is in the process of approving this program for 0.3 AICI CEUs. \nEarning CEUs is not a requirement of general membership with AICI. \nHowever\, if you are currently certified through AICI with CIC\, CIP or CIM then you must earn CEUs to retain certification. Please follow this procedure: \n\nAt the end of this program\, please complete the Participant Training Evaluation form.  You will notice that included in this form are the learning outcomes for the session.
