This immersive 2-hour workshop is designed to explore the powerful synergy between diversity and authenticity in three central areas. Discover how embracing diversity and authenticity can unlock new personal and professional paths to success. You will be immersed in hands-on activities, discussions, and mixed-media presentations led by Chesand Gregory.

 

Learner Outcomes

At the end of this presentation, you will be able to:

  • Discuss the global significance of diversity in the modern world and its impact through real-world examples.
  • Describe ways to be authentic in cross-cultural interactions from around the world.
  • Analyze diversity and authenticity in the Canadian context, collaboratively identifying unique challenges and opportunities.
  • List techniques to effectively address clients from various backgrounds, considering different identities, styles, inner images, mindsets, and mental health aspects.

This workshop offers a comprehensive exploration of diversity and authenticity within three central areas, providing you with practical insights, skills, and empowerment while keeping you engaged and excited throughout the virtual experience.

Overview

This immersive 2-hour workshop is designed to explore the synergy between diversity and authenticity in three central areas:

1. Global Diversity and Its Impact:

Participants will engage in a journey to understand the worldwide significance of diversity and its impact. We will showcase real-world examples of diversity’s influence across various cultures, backgrounds, and identities through a curated video and interactive activities.

2. Authenticity, Cross-Cultural Connections, and Empowerment:

In this dynamic session, we will delve into the role of authenticity in fostering cross-cultural connections while empowering image consultants to excel in their practice. Participants will explore authenticity’s importance in connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and engage in discussions. We’ll emphasize techniques for image consultants to effectively address clients from various backgrounds, considering different identities, styles, inner images, mindsets, and mental health aspects. This comprehensive approach bridges style with inner image, allowing consultants to better understand and empower their clients.

3. Canada: A Diverse Landscape:

Focusing on Canada, we will explore the unique challenges and opportunities in embracing diverse identities in this multicultural nation. Through visual analysis and group discussions, participants will gain insights into Canada’s rich tapestry of identities and the challenges and opportunities it presents for image consultants.

Through a combination of audiovisuals, interactive exercises, and in-depth discussions, participants will gain a deep understanding of these central areas, enabling them to navigate the complexities of diversity and authenticity effectively.

To Receive CEUs from this Event, you must:

  • Attend the two-hour webinar workshop in  its entirety. Attendance will be monitored.
  • Complete and submit the Training Evaluation by October 24th.

About CEUs

As an authorized CEU Provider, AICI is in the process of approving this program for 0.2 AICI CEUs.

Earning CEUs is not a requirement of general membership with AICI.

However, if you are currently certified through AICI with CIC, CIP or CIM then you must earn CEUs to retain certification. Please follow this procedure:

  • At the end of this program, please complete the Participant Training Evaluation form.  You will notice that included in this form are the learning outcomes for the session. Note that you will receive CEUs for this session, even if you indicate that a learning outcome was not successfully achieved.
  • Email the completed Participant Training Evaluation form to Rebecca Chu at rebecca@impeccableimage.ca by October 24th.  You may not submit this form at a later date.

When you earn CEUs, AICI Headquarters is notified and your permanent record is updated.   You may request a copy of your CEU record by contacting AICI Headquarters.

Please note that this course is a training approved by the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI). Certification, earned through the trainer upon completion of this course, is entirely independent from AICI’s professional certification programs.
